What I Ate Wednesday (WIAW)

Hope you all are having a fabulous week so far! Wednesday is one of our craziest days! We are basically on the go from 8 in the morning until after 10 tonight! Let’s hope today goes by fast. On another note, we recently just discovered a link up hosted by the blog Peas and Crayons (http://www.peasandcrayons.com/) for food blogs and decided to join in on the fun! Every Wednesday bloggers post about their recent eats.

For the first week we decided to share our favorite things we’ve eaten in the past week or so.

This is a late night snack we had the other night that was super easy and quick to make! This is a whole wheat Vans waffle topped with peanut butter, kiwi, unsweetened coconut, and a small handful of trail mix.

We’ve been on a salad kick lately and have made a ton of different variations of this salad. Spinach topped with a black bean veggie burger, Colby jack cheese, orange slices, red onion, grape tomatoes, cucumber, soy beans, dried cranberries, and poppyseed dressing.

This was another fav of the past week. It isn’t anything too special but kinda one of our go to meals. A grilled chicken breast with melted mozzarella cheese on top, half of a large sweet potato with cottage cheese & cinnamon on top, and a side salad topped with fresh veggies and lentil hummus!

Oatmeal topped with cantelope, chai seeds, and peanut butter! Hands down one of our favorite recent toppings for oatmeal. If you haven’t tried it yet you have to give it a go and let us know what you think. We didn’t think cantelope would be that good on oatmeal, but we were so wrong.

Have you heard about Panera’s secret menu? The other day we had a lunch date with our mom at Panera and just had to try an item off the secret menu. If you haven’t heard about this menu yet, stop what you’re doing and look it up! It is really that awesome. All the secret menu options are low cal and packed with protein! This is the chicken hummus power bowl and it was amazing! Definitely our new Panera favorite.

That’s all we have to share for now. Lets hope we make it through our first crazy Wednesday alive. Cross your fingers for us!

    LOVE the chicken power bowl! I reviewed it in my WIAW post last week! Its also so cute that the two of you run a blog together! I live with my sister, and our eating habits are black and white, and she thinks my blog is silly. And we look absolutely nothing alike. It works for us though! (Growing up that was certainly NOT the case haha!) I’m glad to have found your page, and am looking forward to finding more things that both me and my sister might enjoy together! Happy Wednesday!

      That chicken power bowl is amazing! We are trying to recreate it at home later this week because it is just THAT good 🙂 It is so fun to run a blog together! We are sad that your sister thinks your blog is silly… maybe in time you can change her mind 🙂 We are so glad you found our page!
