Baked Apples Anyone?

If you haven’t noticed, we’ve been stuffing our apples lately. Although a little time consuming for a weekday, if you have a morning with no destination or due date in sight, than this is a breakfast for you.
Must try it.

Oatmeal Stuffed Apple for One

1 apple
Whipped Banana Oats
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp nutmeg
dash of salt

1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tsp honey
Inside of the apple
handful of granola

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Cook oats according to our directions on Whipped Banana Oats found here. Make sure you add in the cinnamon, vanilla extract, and nutmeg here.
3. Cut off the top of the apple. Scoop out the inside of the apple with a spoon. Make sure you reserve the inside of the apple to use later for topping.
4. Put oatmeal in apple until full. You may have extra oats. Just put them in the bowl you plan on eating your oatmeal out of. Top the apple with some of the inside of the apple. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
5. Put the apple in the bowl that the leftover oatmeal is in. (Microwave the oatmeal beforehand to re-heat it if it has cooled) Top with Greek yogurt, granola, any leftover apple, and finally drizzle with honey.
